Dr Gill Pomfret
Gill is Associate Professor in Tourism, Sheffield Hallam University.
Her research interests and published work predominantly focus on consumer behaviour in tourism and recreation. Key themes include adventure tourism, motives encouraging adventure activity participation and wellbeing benefits, constraint negotiation, adventure tourism experiences, family tourists, senior tourists, heritage tourism, temporal variations in tourism, and gender.
Her latest research examines the role that outdoor activity participation and protected natural environments play in developing individuals’ coping skills, resilience, and subjective wellbeing.
Gill is a committee member of the Adventure Tourism Research Association (ATRA)
